Hi GRASSLIST,
I am trying to use v.rast.stats on Mac OS X 10.3.9 and GRASS 6.1.
I consistently get errors "cut: standin: line too long" and
DBMI-DBF driver error:
SQL parser error in statement:
UPDATE vcirc SET v_cf_var= where cat=1
Error in db_execute_immediate()
ERROR: Error while executing: "UPDATE vcirc SET v_cf_var= where cat=1
Do I need to install mySQL and set that as the database?
Is the dbf file being read in? Is that where the line is too long?
Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

^^
this doesn't look good

ERROR: Error while executing: "UPDATE vcirc SET v_cf_var= where cat=1

could you send the data in a mini-location to me?
If not, how many columns are in the table?
We can communicate off-list to catch the error.

Gretchen,
(for the list archive)
as written offlist, I fixed a couple of error checking bugs in
v.db.addcol, v.db.addtable, v.rast.stats and v.db.connect.
You offlist provided examples do work now. Please consider
to update your local 6.1-CVS installation.
