[GRASSLIST:9661] Map-aided GPS navigation

Found this Nice article on GOS world.
Think it has a direct link with Hamish's work with GPSD and GRASS and
network auto-routing. Didn't see hamish's code, though.

IF anyone has problems, I have the PDF article.

Abstract: The article reports on the development of a map-aided
global positioning system (GPS) navigation. Map-matching technology
allows the linking of vehicles and maps to support location-based
services. The technology integrates information from accurate maps with
raw GPS and gyro data to determine a vehicle's position. To improve the
system, classic statistical theory and fuzzy logic algorithms are
employed.
