[GRASSLIST:9827] e00 import error?

user error maybe? this should be a standard polygon e00. i get this error on import. Is avcimport a seperate module installation or something?

v.in.e00 file=/home/johndoe/gis/maryland/PONET.E00 type=area vect=counties -v
which: no avcimport in (/usr/local/grass-6.0.1/bin:/usr/local/grass-6.0.1/scripts:/usr/local/grass-6.0.1/etc/dm/script:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/home/mark/bin:)

Hi All,

I m working GRASS GIS 6.2.2RC1 version on Fedora 5.
While importing vector maps i am getting error like avcimport program not
found'.
I tried ti install avcimport library but makefile extension is .vc.
How to install this library on Linux.

Pls help in this regard,
