help printed-manual

Stephen Dzurenko writes:

I am new not only to GRASS, but to UNIX. I guess I am really in for trouble.
Anyway, I am having trouble with step 1... getting the users manual to print.

As README says, I type
sh utilities/printed-manual

And I get
Processing sections 1 and 2.
Processing section 3.
Processing section 5.
Starting troff processes.
sh: sh: troff: not found
soelim: not found

Seems like you don't have troff and soelim in your path. Check the
printed-manual shell to see where it wants the program to be. In my
version it says:
PATH=/usr/ucb:/bin:/usr/bin ; export PATH
PRINTER=${PRINTER}-oscar ; export PRINTER

on my system soelim is in /usr/ucb and troff is in /usr/bin (I think
this is where they should be normally). You can try to find them on your
own system with the command

find /usr -name 'soelim' -print
find /usr -name 'troff' -print

Hope this helps!
