Help test nightly build ahead of 2.26.0 release

GeoServer 2.26.0 is planned for mid month. We would like to ask for help testing nightly builds ahead of this release:

This is your chance to test and provide feedback. By testing with a copy of your data directory you can identify any problems and share with the team - while we are in position to help.

The community approach results in software we can trust and works well. Ecosystems, like Linux, depend on many people to test. GeoServer instead relies on exposure to the many datasets to be tested and trusted.

So if you want GeoServer to work for you tomorrow, test a nightly build today!

  1. Test with a copy of your data directory: this is not something we can automate!
  2. Test Raster Attribute Table and docs
  3. Test MapML which has undergone a lot of improvement

Thanks

Hello Jody,

I just updated my installation from 2.25 to the latest snapshot and everything is working like before. I had to allow access to /geoserver/webresources URLs in my proxy for the Openlayers-based layer preview to be functioning.

Environment: Windows Server, Tomcat 9, Oracle Database, GeoFence server plugin.

Best regards
Daniel

Thanks so much Daniel - and exactly the kind of environment (windows server and oracle) that I do not have access to personally.

I am curious about /geoserver/webresources. I wonder if it is a new change?

It’s the relocation of inline JavaScript to external resources, in
preparation for the CSP headers setup. I believe all js that was used by
Freemarker templates got moved there.

Cheers
Andrea
