How to define lat/long coordinates for location?

Hi there!

Today I need to know how to define lat/long coordinates
in southern hemisphere... Could you help me?

The coordinates are
     10 southern latitude to 60 southern latitude
     100 western longitude to 60 western longitude

This one?

         -10:mm:ssN

-100:mm:ssW 60:mm:ssW

         -60:mm:ssN

Or this one?

         10:mm:ssS

-100:mm:ssE -60:mm:ssE

         60:mm:ssS

Or this one?

         -10:mm:ssS

-100:mm:ssW -60:mm:ssW

         -60:mm:ssS

Help would be very welcome... The programmers tutorial is not
very clear here.

I woold use

    -10.000

-100.000 -60.000
  
    -60.000

A g.region -p once this region is set would state:

zone: 0
north: 10S
south: 60S
west: 100W
east: 60W

Dear Markus

At first many thank for your work in devloping GRASS.

I did some 3d mapping with 4.2.1 about Tanzania from DEM. The way I
entered the co-ordinates is underneath. It is non of your variants but
staigth forward.

          10:mm:ssS

  100:mm:ssW 60:mm:ssW

          60:mm:ssS
