On another note, if you go into the setup on Hummingbird's eXceed/MS X
package and turn off the save unders, I know it sounds backwards, you
will not lose your picture when you drop other windows on top of the
grass graphics monitor.

I am now trying out their serial version of this package to allow me to
run grass in the office and display at home.

Wow! Someone from the SCS on the net. Well, since you made your address
public (is this in Colorado?):

I'm trying to help the SCS-Syracuse state office in setting up a small tcp/ip
network with their pc's, mac, sysvr3.2 unix pc's and suns. Everything is
running ok, except they were told by someone to buy NCM tcp/ip software and
Racal/Interlan enet cards for their 3.2 machines and they can't (neither can
I) to get the r(login, exec, et.al.) commands to work properly from anything
but another NCM tcp/ip machine. Connections are refused from pc's doing rsh
or from the suns. They have MetroLink X server for these machines and you
can't open x windows into them because the connections are refused (most
likely related to the above). If you have such a setup where you are could
you check the configuration files for the NCM product and let me know what
they (or I) are doing wrong?

If you have the time, try Micro X-win from
