IDRISI ascii format import

Hi there,

I would like to obtain the tool to convert arc info .e00 format to Grass
formats. I would very much appreciate it, if you could point out some
tips on how to convert .e00 format to grass format.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I finally found a tool to convert e00 format ARC/INFO files to
something more usable (ECV2000 tool. Runs only on Win through :frowning:

Now, how do I get the info from the resulting IDRISI .dvc and .vec into
Grass? I read that IDRISI binary .img files can be used directly, but

what

about these ascii files?

There is a v.out.idrisi module that will produce exactly the same

format

(.dvc & .vec) in an idrisi directory of the current mapset. But there

is

no corresponding v.in.idrisi.

So there must be a simple solution, only I haven't found it. So I ask.

regards
MHu

To convert from .e000 to IDRISI you can use etv2000 (for Windows only).
The evt2000 tools are available from:

ftp://ftp.geo.sbg.ac.at/pub/gis/idrisi/freeware/etv2000/

I used evt2000 to convert from .e000 format to IDRISI, but now I'm stuck
with IDRISI .dvc and .vec files that I don't know how to get into Grass.
I hope for someone to advise on this.

I don't know about any tool that can convert directly from .e00 to Grass.
