I have just digitized a map from autocad. I have closed up all the
polygons and I am now trying to label the polygons. This however is not working
When I use v.digit to label the areas I am running into the problem that the
labeling routine will no recognize the lines on the map.
I first define my category and then pick and accept a point but when
I go to pick a boundary line I always get the message no line found.
What am I doing wrong and is there a problem with my original
digitizing.
Probably the lines in your map are seen by Grass as line elements, not as area
edges. Use the v.digit option `Re-type lines' to change this. You should be
able to label the polygons afterwards.
Second, I need to convert this same map to UTM coordinates.
How would I go about doing this.
Depends on which coordinate system they're in right now....
