Is it possible to install GRASS 4.0 on Linux?

Is it possible to install GRASS 4.0 on Linux?

A short time ago someone posted porting questions to one of the grass
lists as well as a few of the USENET groups. I don't know if he ever
succeeded, but a port sounds feasible (from what I know about Linux).

I plan to try a port as soon as I get the hardware to run Linux (anyone
want to donate?).
