installation

Hi,
I have installed GRASS for Linux. I installed everything but it can't work
yet. When I type grass4.2, I have the following message:
/usr/local/grass42/etc/gis_set: can't load library 'libcurses.so.1'

I installed the new library but it still is not working. Somebody has any
suggestion.

Hi Genaro,

What version of Linux are you running? Perhaps this can help to
narrow things down a bit?

Hi Genaro,

perhaps you try to install a very old Linux binary package?
All recent packages are built with ncurses instead of
curses.

Hi

I had this problem too. Fixed it by adding "setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH
/usr/local/grass42/lib" to my .cshrc
