Intensive Grass course for European users

*****************************************************************
  The Faculty of Environmental Sciences,
    University of Amsterdam,

has developed a one-week intensive Grass course for internal
use. The course takes users inexperienced in Grass, Unix and X,
up to a level that allows them to use Grass unaided. Much
attention is paid to data structures, data quality, understanding
GIS concepts, and the dissection of complex analyses into simple
algorithms.

We are now looking into the possibility of offering this course
to external users, both from the academic and the government and
business communities. The course would take one whole week, be
taught at the University of Amsterdam or any other suitable venue,
and would cost about $1200. Language of preference would be Dutch
or English, but German may also be possible.

In order to assess interest among current European Grass users, we
invite you to reply to this message. Are you or your organisation
interested in following such a Grass course? How many people would
attend from your organisation? Is it possible for you to come to
Amsterdam or would a venue near your organisation suit you better?

Martijn, I believe that the response for a 2'dm weekly seminar will not be
very high... but it could be a chance to get you for a one week paid as a
temporary uni teacher, why not...!?
I know the commercial sector is taking about twice for such type of system
training course...
