I want to display labels to the monitor. Can this be done using GRASS?
I tried using d.paint.labels without luck. The labels will display
using p.map but I cannot draw labels from the command line.Has anyone wriiten a script to do this ?
Has anyone else using d.paint.labels (GRASS4.1) had problems with it ?
How can I display labels for vector and raster files.
I would prefer not to use p.map if possible. (or ps.map either)
Can labeling to the screen be done or should I forget it and wait to
do annotation when we switch over to ARC/Info next year ??Thanks for the help

d.labels should do it , though I find it a bit buggy after
about 60 labels
