Under the GRASS/MAPGEN software (i.e., $GISBASE/mapgen/docs) there are
4 compressed postscript files from USGS on projections:
proj01-16.ps.z
proj17-32.ps.z
proj33-48.ps.z
proj49-63.ps.z
I'm not sure if this is what you are refering to but there is a lot of
useful information on these pages.
