Question for you mapgen users:

Can mapgen print out raster files as well as vector
files?

if so how?

No, but you can convert the raster file to a vector polygon file and
use this in Mapgen. Mapgen will allow you to fill the polygons with a color.
Unfortunately, the program won't automatically fill all of the polygons with
different colors if the polyons have unique categories. The process of assigning
colors (pens) becomes fruitless for polygon maps of many categories (e.g. soils).
