I restarted gitea with

systemctl restart gitea
}}}

and it came back up, but haven't checked the logs why it went down.

It has plenty of disk space which is usually the issue.

Comment:

going to close this out as the service is back up and there is not enough
info in the logs (/var/log/postgresql or /var/log/gitea) to figure out
what was wrong.

@Lnicola is working on ansible gitea role, to properly set it up as a
systemd service which should hopefully provide more info in the future.
