Dear Kym,

I suggest that you may try two points:

  1. using "numbersize" instead of "textsize". in grid, they
may differ.

  2. increase the grid 500 to 5000 or decrease the numbersize
200 to 20 depending on your map scale. they may too close to display
for p.map.new. they are same unit.

When using the grid command within p.map.new, Im getting
the follow error when I try to control the font size:

ERROR: textsize illegal : 200

The file looks like this:

grid 500
pattern notick
masked all
width 1
color black
numbers 2 black in
numbersbg white
textsize 200
end

Can anyone help me get a normal grid on my maps with control
of the fontsize?
