Parallel GRASS

We are trying to rewirite parts of GRASS code to be run
on Parallel Machines.

  A truly worthy effort

We are trying to identify those functions that are
compuatationally intensive.

Can you suggest any other functions that take a lot of
CPU time ?

r.mapcalc and the like are cheap compared to functions like s.surf.tps
and r.surf.contours. I routinely get all-night jobs out of those two.
