[pgrouting-dev] PSC/mentor meeting times & work process for incubation

Hello all,

I am looking for the best meeting times to get together with our mentor Angelos.
This is quite a challenge as there are members from Japan, Spain, Greece, India and Mexico.

Just focusing on the times.
https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meetingtime.html?year=2022&month=9&day=27&p1=155&p2=248&p3=176&p4=26&p5=141

The best times are:

Option A)

Mexico: 7 am

Japan: 9 pm
India: 5:30 pm
Greece: 3 pm
Spain: 2 pm

From there +1 hour -1 hour will have Mexico to wake up very early or Japan to go to sleep very late.

Option B)

Mexico: 8am ~ 11am

Japan: sleeping
India: 6:30 ~ 9:30 pm

Greece: 3pm ~ 7 pm

Spain: 4 pm ~ 6pm

This second option allows me to be in the meeting, and I am in close contact with Japan.

So probably no harm done (Daniel what do you think?)

Next thing is interference with work or family (aka on a weekday or on a weekend)
In my case: weekdays and weekends are ok for those times.

Not my intention to have many meetings, we can handle everything with mail and chat, but if a meeting is arranged those are the best times for us.

We do need to meet to coordinate things needed for the incubation.

Note that pgRouting is the project that is applying for incubation
https://github.com/pgRouting/pgrouting

The other derived projects (pgRoutingLayer, osm2pgRouting, pgRouting Docker, workshop, vrpRouting) might not be part of the incubation but still need to be conformant to the incubation rules (like licence etc)

My proposal for working on the incubation process:

Organize a meeting with Angelos to determine the work to be done, using option B schedule so that the rest can join, (any developer is welcome to assist) if family or work does not interfere.

Communicate by mail the work that needs to be done, open issues if needed to keep track of the status and work.

Communication with Angelos will be by mail or on an issue comment.
Final meeting with Angelos before wrapping up to the incubation committee.

Any motions & votes needed will be done by mail.

Regards
Vicky

Either A or B works for me, but B is slightly better. Also am okay with weekday or weekend.

Thanks,

Hello Vicky, all,

Thank you for your email and for preparing a thoughtful calendar.
Both the options (A or B) for meeting works for me. Also, weekdays or weekends, both are fine.

Kind regards,
Rajat

Hi all,

Both options are fine for me.
I would prefer option A so that we have everybody available.

Best,
Angelos
