[pgrouting-dev] UN OSGeo challenge 2021

Hello all

We have been invited to participate in the UN OSGeo Challenge 2021.
"The challenge supports the objectives of the OSGeo UN Committee, i.e. promoting the development and use of open source software that meets UN needs and supports the aims of the UN. "

As you can see in the workshop [1]

[1] https://workshop.pgrouting.org/
The workshops are location based, and currently use data from OSGeoLive. Having the workshop location based allows people with knowledge of the area to have a better understanding on how pgRouting can be used.
Making the workshop year by year has been a little bit time consuming and comes with errors because of manual changes, making it difficult to increase the workshop materials.
Currently Rajat has been working on the workshop, to automate the generation of the workshop based on a specific location.

This automation gives the opportunity to increase the workshop materials for anywhere in the world, not only to be limited for the FOSS4G locations.
The challenge will give the opportunity to increase the number of chapters and include other functions possible usages besides the basics of pg_dijkstra & pgr_dijkstraCost.

Please share your thoughts, or if you think of a different challenge please share your ideas.

Regards

Vicky
