Is there anyway in 'ps.map' to produce a legend for sites in the same way
that vlegend produces one for the vectors ?Thanks,

Not automatically, but you can do it manually. Create a sitefile with the
coordinates of where you want the icon in the legend, and then use the text
command to place suitable text with it. It becomes easier with practice!
