PROBLEM WITH PS.MAP

Hello netters,
I faced a problem using ps.map.
It seems that it works fine, it asks me all the questions but at the
end it is creating a .ps file which is empty!!!!
We are having GRASS on a SGI Power Indigo II.
Before that I had created a file called HPXL300 in
$GISBASE/etc/paint/ps.devices where I had written the script:
level: 2
page width: 8.5
page height: 11.0
top margin: 0.5
bottom margin: 0.5
left margin: 0.25
right margin: 0.25
resolution: 300
as it was reccomended to me by
bradshaw@lewis-deh2.army.mil in January the 29th.
Then and before running ps.map I ran ps.select and selected HPXL300.
The HPXL300 is a Hewllet Pacard Postscript Paintjet Printer.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you mean that it literally has a file size of 0 bytes, or simply that
it doesn't print anything?
