Hi,
we plan to put up the SG3d tool on a linux machine. Did somebody already
made an attempt (if successful or not) to do this or has any other
experience with the compilation of this tool?
Thanks in advance for any hint.

You might have some trouble...it relies on the Iris GL, not OpenGL (ie
the SGI Graphics Library). Whilst there are OpenGL libs for other SGI
systems I am not aware of a compatible GL for other than SGI systems.
If you are planning to actually port the SG3d (using OpenGL or similar
lib, rather simply attempt to compile under Linux) that would be a good
thing as it is a very good tool.
