Hi All
Forgive me posting in English
I just arrived in Portugal and would like to map my new house and the surrounding areas in QGIS!
I already added these:
https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Lista_de_web_services
to my QGIS WMS services list. I am wondering where all the nice, large scale (e.g. 1:25 000 map series from http://igeoe.pt ) are as map services (WMS/WCS/WFS)?
Or any other good sources for basic data?
Is anyone interested to work with me to make a plugin that helps you to add all public OGC servers for Portugal to QGIS?
Muito obrigado!
Regards
Tim

Hello Tim, once again, welcome
Try this links https://www.igeoe.pt/index.php?id=47 for IGeoE
Try this one to for other services http://mapas.dgterritorio.pt/geoportal/catalogo.html
Booth links have only data in small scale.
NaturalGIS has a service with other data. See http://naturalgis.pt/downloads_e_transformacao.html

Nelson

Hi Tim
Welcome to Portugal!
I am wondering where all the nice, large scale (e.g. 1:25 000 map series from http://igeoe.pt ) are as map services (WMS/WCS/WFS)?
AFAIK those are made available for a fee. According to their website only the 1:500000 product is available for free. As for other sources of base maps, you can try the Portuguese Land Planning Authority’s website at
http://www.dgterritorio.pt/dados_abertos/
they have some stuff too

Thanks - I think these are the same data sources as listed in the wiki page I mentioned (https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Lista_de_web_services ).

Thanks Nelson! I guess I will resort to some drone flying etc. to get a good DEM, contours etc.

Hi,
NaturalGIS has a service with other data. See http://naturalgis.pt/downloads_e_transformacao.html
Soon I will add more data to our services, both vector as WFS and raster as WMS/WCS.
Cheers

You can try also the National Geographical Information Systems:

In this site you have the CSW

Unfortunately there isn’t english translation.

Hi Tim, welcome to Portugal.
You can find real data on the Portuguese Oficial Nacional Open Data Portal (mainly in Portuguese)
https://dados.gov.pt/en/
I’ve gathered (harvesting) some Municipally CKAN projects here:
https://dados.geomunicipio.org/dataset
But don’t get much expectations about it!
Best regards,
Ricardo
