r.in.ascii

Grass folks --

We are considering ordering some data in a format that Grass doesn't
ccept, but that's easy enough to edit for import via r.in.ascii.
Before we go ahead, can anyone tell me whether r.in.ascii will
accept long/lat files? or is it restricted to UTM (as some raster
commands are...)?

  May be someone already answered your question. I dont know how does
r.in.ascii operate but if it accepts UTM you can convert your lat/lon to UTM
using m.ll2u and then proceed.
