Thanks for the program Malcolm. I've downloaded it and put it on our
workstation. Shame is that the Ordnance Survey data in TIFF format, which
I was trying to load, causes an error. I know the TIFF is OK as I've
loaded small bits of it into a few PC packages. I'll have to look into
the other suggestions, unless there is a newer version of 'r.in.tiff' ??
