r.tiff in RS6000

Hello!
Thanks a lot to all the people who helped me to solve my basic problem with
r.water.fea.
Now, I have a problem, of different nature, compilating r.tiff.
I'm trying to compile it for RS6000. Anybody tried it before?
I have the source code of r.tiff and I'm not able to compile it. The
compilation process stopped first at machdep.h and later at tif_open.c.
I could solve these problems but I'm not able to do it with errors at
tif_picio.c. I do not know very much about c.
Any idea??

I remember having troubles prior to 4.1.5. Now the problem is solved.
Also, you have to check that the pnmplus library is compiled for
RS6000.
