I should have mentioned in my last email that the only thing I had to do to get PostGIS 1.0.0 working with GeoServer 1.3.0 was to replace the jdbc jar files in server/geoserver/WEB-INF/lib with the ones for Postgres 8.0 and PostGIS 1.0.0. They are 2 separate jar files, postgis.jar and postgresql.jar. Then of course I deleted the old Postgres jdbc jar file from the same place (jdbcPostgres.jar).
Thanks again for all the help from this list!

Subject: RE: [Geoserver-devel] big problem upgrading to geoserver beta3 from beta1 release
I'm very happy to hear that things are working for you!
Sorry I couldnt help you earlier - I've been getting as much new stuff
done in the last while as possible.
Luckily I'm almost finished all the new stuff. Just a few bugs to fix,
then I'll probably throw out a beta4 this week or early next so people
can test and use the new (very spiffy) features.
1.3RC1 soon afterwards.
