Sorry, I was hoping someone who actually wrote geoclient would respond.
GeoClient was contributed software, and I have never really attempted to
use it. So I don't have any tips. The guys working on it have shifted
their focus to map builder, http://mapbuilder.sourceforge.net, so you
might get in touch with that mailing list. If you're looking for a client
I might know of a javascript wfs/wms client that will be available in the
next few weeks.
