or could the log entries be features inserted back into geoserver to a user-defined featuretype… allowing for logs to go to any datasource supported by geotools… may need a new datastore type for traditional local text file logging… just a friday afternoon thought.

that we could add an option to the configuration in order to specify
where logs are written to on disk, or wether to log to disk or not. What
