Hello,
I was looking for the same thing, but I cannot find sde9.0 jar file anywhere. So I ended up installing the latest SDE SDK to get the jar
File.

Hi,
I will answer my own question. With the geoserver binary
distribution, the arcsde connection
Came with sde 8.3 jar file, and it does not work with SDE 9.0 server.
All I have to do
Is to replace the sde 8.3 jar file with sde 9.0 jar file, and
everything works.

Hmmm... I wonder what thier distribution policy with the sdk and the
resulting jar is - if it'd be kosher for us to distribute that jar. And
also if it's backwards compatible with 8.3.
Also, if you (or anyoneone reading this) want to do a nice contribution to
the geoserver community, you could figure out how to do views with arcsde,
we've heard reports of them failing, but I don't know arcsde well enough
to create the views myself. I actually do have limited access to an sde
instance, so if anyone could tell me how one might create a view (in very
basic terms, I don't even know how to create a table in arcsde), then I
can take a shot at debugging geotools to work with it.
best regards, and thanks for the tip about getting things working with sde
9, I'll include a note in the next release.
