RE: Installation Tcltkgrass

Hello.
Regarding my question "Installation of Tcltkgrass" dated on April 3, 1999, I
have received several advises. Thank you very much.

1. I tried to change mod the files under /usr/local/bin as Mr. Andrew M
McDermott. It was not successful in my case.
2. I newly downloaded tcl8.0.3 and tk8.0.3 from the following site as Mr.
Bernhard Reiter advised and install them. This time tclsh8.0 became
effective and I succeeded to install tcltkgrass2.8 for Grass5.0beta.

You need a new version of tcl/tck installed. (8.xx)
If it is installed at a different place, you might want
to change the calling script.

Otherwise install a new version of tcl/tk.
See
http://www.tclconsortium.org/intro/index.html
or your software distributior.

I'd just downloaded new TclTkGrass 2.8 binaries and tried to install it.

I deleted my previous version, gunziped & untarred the new archive,
logged on Grass as root, changed to tcltkgrass dir and ran 'make'.

I just got this message:
make: /usr/local/bin/tclsh8.0 Command not found
make:*** [install] Error 127

I can find /usr/local/bin/tclsh8.0 and wish8.0.

Good.

Just for your information:
The latest tcl/tk version in the stable 8.0 tree is 8.0.5
  http://www.scriptics.com/software/8.0.html
is better as a reference to the latest version.

Kazunori: If everything works fine for your, you can stick with 8.0.3,
of course.
