That sounds like the FARSITE model developed as a joint project of
the US Forest Service and Park Service at the Missoula fire lab.
Contact Pat Andrews at 406-329-4827. FARSITE uses
slope, aspect, elevation, and fuel models in GRASS or ArcGRID format.
It runs in MS-Windows and simulates fire spread over time. Fire
perimeters and intensities can be transferred back to GRASS for
further analysis.

One of our foresters received some information about a fire model
developed by Rutgerites that uses GRASS and BEHAVE. Can anyone
give us some more info on this - and a location for where to find
the model?

Thanks in advance-
