running v.in.dxf is causing segmentation fault (core dumps)

GRASS GISers:

Every time I run v.in.dxf on a 6 MB file, the program terminates with a
segmentation fault and the core gets dumped. This only occurs when I convert
from dxf to binary dig format....it doesn't occur when I convert to dig ascii
format.

Anyone know what the problem is ?
