I'm am beginner as GRASS user ans as workstation user.
I use SPARCstation20, Solaris 2.4, xgrass4.1, binary Sun version.
Very oft I get the message: Segmentation Fault - core dumped.
First question: how to use this core file? I can't read it.
Last faillure was by displaying the title of a map.
Another question how to change handy the display monitor from x0 to
x1? Which one is active one?BRGRDS Romek
You're probably getting the segmentation fault because of a problem with
the command you're running not checking its inputs etc properly. For example,
You might be giving it an excesive amount of input or the wrong kind of input.
In any case, the core file wont be much use to you unless you are involved with
the writing of the code - which I assume you are not. Just delete it.
Alternatively, there could be a problem with GRASS when using Solaris - others
may be able to comment on that.
Which command gives you a segmentation fault?
Regarding the x0/x1 question: To change the selected monitor from x0 to x1,
type:
d.mon se=x1
I presume thats what you wanted to know?
Cheers,
F.
