I have been working on a 292,000 acre watershed running r.watershed and
WRAT. The purpose is to produce an accumulation map for the entire
watershed at 30 meter resolution.
Running r.watershed at 30 meter resolution without the -m flag results
in G_calloc out of memory. Using the -m flag resulted in 2 percent completion
in 18 hours.
Running WRAT producing the idealized elevation map at 100 meter res completed
in 24 hours.
Is this expected performance or are there kernal parameters that can be
changed to increase performance. The SPARC10 has 130 MEG of RAM and 65 MEG
of SWAP.
