When I issue a command such as g.list, the window that pops up to
display the results (in this case titled g.list output), all the fonts
are so pixelated as to be almost useless. This includes the 'Finished'
title and the buttons as well.
Have I not configured or set something up correctly?

Maybe you need to set a bigger font for tcktkgrass? Config->Options

Actually, the Helvetica font was selected for all four selections. It
did not display correctly in certain elements, such as dialog, output. When
I changed the font (to Monospace 821) they all display this typeface
correctly. I'm not sure why the default wouldn't display correctly only in
particular places.
