There is no front-dorr approach to this problem. However s.menu
is a MENU to some program in the GRAS etc directory. Two of these
programs take site data and convert them to cell, and they are
command line driven. Explore the s.menu code and with some dectective work
you can run these tools outside s.menu.
There was a script put in grassu mail August 27, 1992
that converts sites to rasters in a non-interactive mode.
It was also mentioned that non-interactive versions
of the s.menu options may exist on the moon.
