To Scott Wade

Scott,

Yes you're right, and no, you're not. Try this little experiment:
make a polygon in v.digit and label it. Next add in the dig_att file
a second label inside; v.support will give you the warning 'label matched
other label'. Then go back into v.digit: you won't see TWO label-points in the
polygon, but just the one that is last in the dig_att file. This is due
to the fact that GRASS doesn't consider labels as a separate 'edit-
feature'. When you unlabel, you don't have to point to the label itself,
but to the area in which it is. But maybe I've been spoilt with too much
ARC/INFO.

By the way: can Helena tell us a bit more about the derived parameters
pcurv, tcurv and mcurv that you get for free with s.surf.tps? I made some
nice-looking maps with them, but I have some difficulty interpreting these
'curvatures': how are they calculated and what is the difference between
these three types of curvature?
