Dear Grassers,
I was trying to use the following vector programs to convert dxf files to vector and then
raster Grass format.
1- v.in.dxf where it was used to convert 3 dxf layers to another 3 binary vector files.
2- v.patch to combine the above three vector files in one file again.
3- v.support to cereate the suppot files needed for this binary Grass vecor data.
4- v.to.rast to convert from vector to raster format.
However, the last program was running for about 5 mins and finally I ended up with an empty
raster file!. Before this, without changing the current geographic region it was running
for 17 secs only. So, I used g.region to have the default geographic region active as a
current region which should be reasonable. But, still when I run v.to.rast, it takes more time
(i.e. 5 mins) and the output is blank on the monitor (using d.rast). This vector file includes
streams data in a catchment which does not need category labels, I guess. If so, how can I
address this category labels using v.digit program or any other programs?.
Please, if anyone can help me regarding this matter....
Many thanks.....
