Dear GRASS users,
The problem with garbage in the dig_att file generated
by v.proj has been solved, and a simple solution at that.
I turned off optimization of the compiler
and rebuilt the v.proj command. All works just fine now.
(commented out the
COMPILE_FLAGS = -O"
line in the src/CMD/head/sun4 file)
This is the 2nd time in the last few months that a
"bug" in software turned out to be faulty optimization
with SUN's cc compiler.
