I have recently digitized landuse areas using v.digit. On running v.support
I get the following error message:Warning: area 141 label: 205 matched another label 205
Warning: area 143 label: 201 matched another label 205# of lines: 272
# of nodes: 271
# of areas: 272
# of isles: 271
# of atts: 402
# of unattached atts: 0
Snapped lines: 0After running v.clean on the data, I still got the same warnings. What does
this mean and how do I fix the data. There are many of these warning
messages.Thank you,
DaphneThis occurs when there are two labels for the same area. I have had this
occur when I have run v.support on a file originating from v.patch. I have
also seen this with frenquintly edited vector files. I don't worry about
the ones that have the same label, but you should worry about matches of
different labels. The only way I have found to fix this is to unlable in
V.digit all problem areas, exit, run v.support again, then go back to v.digit
and see if these problem areas are labeled ( whether correct or not).
Unfortunately, the area numbers reported by v.support are not usable as a
reference. Good Luck!!!!
