I'm running v.trim on a map generated from the Census Bureau's TIGER files,
using a trim factor of 0.0 because I only want to eliminate unnecessary
nodes, not remove any lines. The output file, however, has all single
polygon islands missing. I've tried it in GRASS 4.0 on both a Sun IPC and
Intel 386 system with the same results.

Why?

Wish I new, I've given up on using it. It is similarly broken on
the later version (GRASS 4.1 (Spring 1993)) on our sparcs and decs.
