Hello everybody,
I´m interested in using the 24bit mode on my Linux system instead of the 8bit
mode, to avoid all the problems with the colormap. Using XDRIVER_24bit in
TrueColor results in the following line, while starting a monitor:
"got a TrueColor (Read-Only!) Visual"
What does it mean and are there any differences, problems or advantages
compared to 8bit?
Thanks,
Rainer
The only limitation that I have seen is that the 24-bit driver does not
support colormode float. As for the message, that's standard with the driver.
