XGRASS compilation

Bob,
There is a pretty fair section on xgen in the XGRASS user's manual. This comes
with the standard GRASS4.1 release (I *think* !!).

As far as XGRASS and xgen go in general, I think that very few serious users are
working with it. We use it for introductory training, where it has obvious
strengths. A few days ago someone at CERL stated in a post that no one there
is currently actively supporting XGRASS. So, draw your own conclusions...

Since questions about xgen seem to draw deafening silences, I'm left
wondering if anyone else is using it. Or is tcltk considered the way
to go?

Re xgen: I have a number of questions. For example, can you pass
variables into an xgen script? and How do you address a cell in an
xgen table using variables?
