Could someone give me a pointer as to how and where I can
change the color used for texts in the Xgrass menu's? I
would prefer something less stressful to the eyes than
egg-yolk yellow....

NB: This reminds me of another question. How and where can I
determine where the various Xgrass menu's will be placed on the
screen? I hope to minimise the amount of shifting that has to be
done...
I think both default colors and positions can be specified in
the .Xdefaults file, that you keep in your home directory. I haven't
tried that myself concerning xgrass, but all other X applications
I have specified my favorite behaviours there.
