I retired from business in 2006 and have been doing volunteer work since then.

Worked 20 years for Hewlett-Packard Medical, then a couple years for Agilent Technologies - Medical, then 6 years for Philips Medical US. Followed by many years as a Volunteer Fire Fighter and other community volunteer work.

During my working business years, I used MapPoint to manage mapping data (Microsoft product that is now obsolete). Used Google Maps and Google Earth for mapping for the last 10 years.

Just started using QGIS a few weeks ago… big learning curve for me, with no past experience in GIS.
