A letter confirming listing as an experienced provider

Hi All,

I am writing to you because I am participating in a government project process. They asked me for a document with the information that is on the GeoServer website (Experienced Providers) about Geocursos (my company).

Could you please write a formal letter with the OSGeo header and add it to the wiki as formal correspondence? That would look official.

Thank you in advance for your attention.

Best regards,

Fernando Quadro
GEOCURSOS

Thanks for continuing to support GeoServer community, yes we can write a letter of support on behalf of the project.

Checking Geocursos entry on the Commercial Support Page has the following:

Geocursos (Brazil) was created in 2012, with the idea of providing professional training through e-learning. Its premise is to contribute to the transmission of knowledge and training of competent professionals in the open source GIS.

It provides training on GeoServer as well as OpenLayers, PostGIS, QGIS and other tools. For more information please get in touch via the Geocursos contact page.

translation outreach training service

Does this still reflect the services offered?

As part of the GeoTools PMC we have examples of writing “letters of support” under Formal Correspondence (example here).

Setting up Correspondence wiki page for GeoServer, and creating a draft in our wiki for your review.

Please confirm if this meets your needs.

I will ask another PSC member to check the contents also, and then we can generate a PDF with OSGeo letterhead on behalf of GeoServer Project Steering committee.

Jody,

Yes, this description on the GeoServer website is consistent with the services offered by Geocursos.

Regarding the draft letter, I confirm that it meets the requirements.

Best regards,

Fernando Quadro

Thanks @fernandoquadro I would like a sanity check from another PSC member before signing it myself?

@tbarsballe are you in position to check for language / spelling?

In the absence of feedback I have updated the wiki page with a signed PDF.

Thanks for your continued support of the GeoServer community.

Jody,

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Fernando Quadro
