A paper for the library

Hi,

I joined the visibilitycommittee project and logged into the website but the page https://visibilitycommittee.osgeo.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=47&expandFolder=47&folderID=0 still says that "*When you are registered <https://www.osgeo.org/servlets/Join> and logged in <https://www.osgeo.org/servlets/Login>, you could join this project and submit documents*". What's going on?

I'd like to upload the paper from http://map.hut.fi/iEMSs2006Workshop13/W13_jolma.pdf

The paper is a position paper for the workshop 13 at iEMSs 2006 conference, it was written under Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 License <http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.5/>\. The paper was published on a CD in the conference and is thus finished in a sense, but it is being updated at http://www.iemss.org/iemss2006/wiki/index.php?n=W13a.HomePage for publication in a book.

Regards,

Ari

Ari,

I just tried to upload a presentation to this site and ran into the same
problem. Can you let me know what you did to get the iEMSs paper uploaded.

Thanks,

Hey,
currently you need to be official member of VisCom *and* need to have Project Developer permissions to uplpoad files (this is near to godlike powers). Current procedure is to send it to mpg (VisCom god - ahm - chair) directly and he uploads it for you.

Hopefully this will be a lot easier with the new Drupal Portal currently prototyping here: http://frot.org/osgeo/portal/

I suggest that you try to stick it in there somewhere and if you fail comment on the Wiki page (trying to nudge you unobtrusively into doing some volunteer debugging so that we get that badly needed migration going...).

Best regards,

Thanks,

Ned

Right -- I tend to do the uploading, etc, myself, as I get all
self-absorbed about correct locations and filename conventions and such.

Point me to an URL and I'll make it all happen.

Ari, all,

I have submitted a CN bug for that:

Maybe it's possible to add yourself in CC if you are interested (and
logged in

Correction:

I had submitted a bug report about the message
"Note: When you are registered and logged in, you could join these
email lists."
which also appears after login.
