I am Aditya Akash, MPhil in Digital Humanities at the University of Cambridge. I am a GIS researcher specializing in remote sensing and satellite imagery for heritage documentation in conflict zones. I have worked with QGIS, CORONA declassified imagery, Sentinel, ALOS PALSAR, and Google Earth Engine for heritage mapping.
What do you want to learn / contribute
I want to learn from the OSGeo community to strengthen my plugin development skills and contribute a QGIS plugin for automated satellite imagery access and Google Earth Engine-based change detection, specifically designed for heritage monitoring in conflict-affected areas. I am also working on agentic AI for geospatial analysis combining LLMs with satellite data to automate heritage change detection without manual image review.
